I have only been in one car accident in my life. It was more than thirty years ago. A younger cousin was driving my car on Interstate 90 west of Manhattan, Montana, and I was asleep in the front passenger seat. We had just come up over a rise, when I awoke to her screams. I opened my eyes in time to see we were going to hit an elk.
